Get to Know Me
Counselling is connection and connection is the pathway to healing. I began my journey to becoming a counsellor with the drive to provide individuals with a supportive, inclusive environment where they could explore their patterns, relationships, and strengthen their sense of self. My approach combines my passion for empowering my clients while acknowledging the influences society, culture, and family have on an individual. I adapt my approach to each client and will use different theories and tools to provide an individualised experience to best support a journey to growth and healing.
Masters of Counselling Psychology
RCC & CCC
I have my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Univeristy of Calgary where I explored how Sex, Gender, and Culture interacts with mental health.
I then attended Adler University in Vancouver where I received my Masters of Counselling Psychology degree. At Adler I began to strengthen my therapeutic approach and started to integrate Adlerian Theory with Feminist Theory.
I am a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling Psychology Association as well as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors
I worked for several years at a Vancouver non-profit providing counselling for individuals, couples and families who wanted to increase their coping strategies and healthy communication.
I use many different theories and tools in session. I work to adapt to each client's individual needs and approaches to therapy.
